Why You Should Make as Much Money as You Possibly Can

I want you to make a lot of money, and I want to tell you why.

In a world where we are often bombarded with conflicting messages about making money, I want to challenge the prevailing notion that making gobs of money is somehow negative or selfish.

On face value, it can be those things, but it certainly isn’t a truth about those things. I firmly believe that striving to make as much money as you possibly can is not only acceptable, but essential for your optimal well-being, for many different reasons.

Our culture often communicates messages that equate making money with greed, selfishness, or even immorality. We are told that the pursuit of wealth is somehow inherently evil, and that those who seek financial success are somehow betraying their values or integrity.

I say it’s the opposite; we need to make a lot of money, so we can live out our values.

These negative connotations around making money can leave people with a sense of guilt and shame around wealth, leading many to shy away from pursuing financial abundance.

But what if I told you that making money is, in fact, one of the best things you can do for yourself and those around you? What if I told you that by striving to maximize your earning potential, you are not only securing your own future but also the most loving thing to do for those around you?

Here’s Why:

You need to make a lot of money, so you can focus on things even more important than making a lot of money.

When you remove the barriers and limitations around money, you free yourself to focus on what truly matters in life. Imagine never having to worry about paying your bills, providing for your family, or wondering about your retirement. Imagine the freedom and peace of mind that come with that kind of financial security.

What if you made so much money … that you never had to worry about money … so you could focus on things even more important than making money?

Many purpose-driven and altruistic people can never fulfill their passionate calling in the world because they are consumed with getting by financially. Making money allows you to focus on even more important things than making money.

Making a lot of money is a vehicle to bless a lot of people who don’t make a lot of money. There’s nothing more important than to learn how to create wealth just for the purpose of learning how to give it away. This is a spiritual act of the highest-degree, that is only possible with wealth accumulation.

Making money sets the stage for a certain freedom that empowers people to live a life of purpose and fulfillment, that is, for the most part, not possible when you live without money. It allows you to invest in a personal/relational/family vision, nurture your most important relationships, prioritize your well-being, and make a massive difference in the world.

Judgmental views of wealth forget to take into account how hard it is to be present and attuned in a marriage when you’re wondering how to pay for your children’s school tuition.
